What Should You Expect on Your First Visit?
At Leverenz Family Chiropractic, animal chiropractic care focuses on evaluating and supporting your animal’s spine, joints, and nervous system to help improve movement, comfort, and overall well-being. Each animal is unique, and care is tailored to your animal’s specific needs.
A Typical First Visit Includes:
Consultation
We will review your animal’s health history, activity level, past injuries, and current concerns. If your animal is under veterinary care, we may ask for relevant records to ensure coordinated care.
Examination
Your animal will receive a gentle, hands-on assessment of posture, gait, muscle tension, as well as spinal and joint motion. This allows us to identify areas of stiffness, restriction, or imbalance that may be affecting movement, comfort, or overall function.
Adjustment
Based on the findings, your animal may receive gentle, specific chiropractic adjustments using low-force techniques designed specifically for animals. Most animals tolerate adjustments very well and often show signs of relaxation or improved movement following care.
Care Plan & Home Recommendations
We will discuss findings, recommended frequency of care, and simple home exercises or activity modifications when appropriate. Animal chiropractic is provided in collaboration with your veterinarian to support your animal’s overall health.
